Vacuum Silencers
Vacuum Silencers
In the past, vacuum silencers were limited to the amount of depth a vacuum could reach. Once a vacuum level increases, there is less air flowing, helping to reach the type of heat transfer needed. This is the knowledge and understanding that goes into creating specialized silencers that are equipped for vacuum trucks from E.I Williams.
At a certain level, the heat in the vacuum silencer will start to rise where it can be damaging to the silencer. Additionally, by injecting jet ports pumping cool air towards the discharge side of the silencer, heat is then transferred with the vacuum levels attained.
Proper sizing of this specialized silencer is needed in order to insure that a standing noise wave will not be generated. This noise wave is capable of traveling in long distances which creates hostile noise levels in the surrounding environment, which can cause noise pollution issues.
